Does staging really sell a house?

June 24, 2013

There has been much debate on what really “sells” a house. Many people think that “staging” the house during the time it is on the market is the way to make it sell. Others do not mind what their house looks like as long as it does sell.
When buyers walk in to a house the first thing they notice is how the house looks and how it is “decorated” , if there are piles of clothes, bags etc. the potential buyer will notice that and could possibly steer away due to the fact that all of the stuff covers up some of the important parts of the home such as floors, trim and paint.
Staging is huge in this market. With inventory being so low, as a seller you want buyers to remember your house at the end of the day, and for it to be the one they purchase. By staging your home, you are decorating it to the extent that will make it sell. Making your house look presentable and de cluttered is the first step to accomplishing that, and we’re here to get you started.
